Wouldn't the E-Bell work for the P42DC? I've seen some with the GE bell, I have no idea if Amtrak is converting the bells after maintnence.

...still can't figure out why the end wont play... I used virtually the same .xml for my F40PH HEP fix, and it works fine on THAT... *!rolleyes!*

Woot can finally do a video on the P42.
"If you really needed a diesel locomotive right away, then go ahead and order a ALCO. But if you could wait for real quality, then go for an EMD or a GE".

Let me explain this to you in a way that is understandable. Follow these steps in order, please.

1) First thing you need to do is make sure you have all of the needed files download.
2) Open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to the Railworks folder. Do this by following this path to it: Computer> Local Disk > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common> railworks
3) Now, open your sound files you have downloaded (Not the horn just yet).
4) Take the main folder and drag it into the window we opened in the railworks director. When prompted to do so, overwrite the existing files.
5) Now, to install the horn you will need to navigate to this folder path: railworks > Assets > G-Trax > Genesis > Audio > RailVehicles >Diesel > P42DC.
6) Place into this folder the following files from your downloaded HORN files. P42DC_Bell_int.wav and P42DC_Bell.wav.
7) Now, go into the cab folder and copy all of the files from the cab folder in the downloaded Horn files there. If prompted to overwrite existing, do so.

As for those of you publishing files and what not, I don't mean to be demanding of you, but I really think you all should include instructions if possible. I understand that after doing all this hard work that you want to just simply upload it and be finished, but we all don't have the understanding required to install these. If you need someone to write them for you, let me know, I can help. Thanks for the hard work you do now.
*!!thnx!!*

Thanks for that info, I will try that when I get home. But I was wondering if it was possible to use bnsfdude's bell and engine sounds with b737lvr's k5la from the mega horn pack.
