GN Logging Scenario for MCSA Route

Unread postby GreatNortherner » Fri Apr 16, 2010 8:05 am

Colleagues,

Just finished a couple of logging scenarios for the MC&SA route. Its dense woodland scenery could be almost anywhere, so I thought GN would look right at home there, too.

Download link: http://www.golden-age-rails.com/scenario.html
(I will upload them to the file library too)

Below is a selection of screenshots from one of the two scenarios, the 'standard' scenario (the other is a free-roam). So don't look at the images below if you want to play the scenario without knowing what will be coming up.
Your job in the scenario is to switch several cars around the little yard at Camden -- which takes you quite a while. Then you have to deliver some cars to the mainline interchange and return with a new train. All in all two hours of branchline fun!

Hi,

No, there isn't any AI traffic. It is a only seven mile shortline, it wouldn't make any sense. But trust me, you will be busy enough -- one hour of switching in a four-track yard! !*YAAA*! Then climbing the 1.7% grade with one engine and 20+ cars. !*brav*!

By the way: the file gn-mcsa1.rwp was missing a file for whatever reason, I just reuploaded a corrected version.

Cheers!

Nice work, Michael. Question, what locomotive is that? Looks kind of familiar but I can't place it. Not a "wide nose"?
