*!!thnx!!* Brian... At first glance I thought the B7 was a kind of engine type (I always confuse F7 by B7 *!embar*!), not yours say Productor's name !*roll-laugh*!

!*brav*! Very nice sounds indeed and very well structured files' names, !!*ok*!! so we can use (in extreme case, though unrealistically) any horn in any engine.

Once you answered me how you were used to set each horn in each engine. Could you post some guidelines about on here? so all the informations to put in good (and correct) use the pack would be together. Example: in which kind of engine can be used Leslie A200, or Nathan K5HL, or Nathan P5 etc. I know it varies from RR, it's just a guideline to avoid a big mistake (like using a tipical F7's horn in a Dash-9).

Thanks, again.
Doc.

Yeah, I echo Doc's suggestion pretty please, especially, for us none Americans in the game, it gets a bit confusing at times as to the different horn sounds for your locomotives, and I like to have the proper sounds and horns in my engines if possible.

Thanks for creating the pack anyway, Brian.

To the above post...I had the same problem; you just need to open the "ProxyXML" file for the engine that you are trying to modify, and read carefully where the file is reading the sound files from (ie: RSC\GP9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Horn_Loop.wav). As this file is reading from "...Diesel\GP9", if you install the .wav files in "...Diesel\GP9\Cab\...", you won't get any sound while in the sim. Long story short, in the case of the GP9, install the .wav files in the "RSC\GP9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9" file, and the "Proxy" File in "RSC\GP9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Cab", and you should have the desired sound. Just read carefully where the "Proxy" file reads the .wav files from, in each loco's audio folder. Also, make sure the "Proxy" files are installed in the "Cab" file for each loco. Hope this isn't too confusing, I'm not very computer-savvy, so I don't know how to clearly explain these things.

To b737lvr, these sound great...I wonder if it would take much work to get them into Horseshoe Curve? Great work!

Spruce is right about the GP9 ... *!!wink!!*

As far as I just checked, only the .proxyxml of GP9 and F7 are refering to the "engine" folder, instead of "cab" folder as per instructions, so only for GP9 and F7 you should (for now) drop the wav files into the "engine" folder, ie:
\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7
\railworks\Assets\RSC\GP9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9

However, for the .proxyxml you must keep following the instructions, ie drop them into:
\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7\Cab
\railworks\Assets\RSC\GP9Pack01\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Cab

I'm sure Brian will check this, and update both .proxyxml, or review the instructions. *!!wink!!*

Cheers,
Doc.

Thank you very much, may I be a nuisance and ask you about the other locomotives we've purchased through RSC please, there's the SD70, SD70ACe and the MAC, and also the SW1500 switchers. Oh, and we also had locomotives included with HSC and Donner Pass, the SD40 tunnel motor, etc, do you think the horn sounds included are prototypical for these engines also, or, would it be better to put some of your sounds in.

Many thanks.

Nathan P5 is spot on.

Edit: I fell in love with the K3H.

Can any of these be applied to locomotives like the GG1 or Aela?

Yes, with some simple re-aliasing

That meaning? !**conf**! I've tried renaming other proxyml files provided to the default and get no sound. I drop all the sound files into the cab/locomotive sounds folder but still get nothin !*don-know!*

Help from the master would be appreciated *!lol!*

Get either WinRAR or 7-Zip. WinRAR is shareware and 7-Zip is freeware.
You'll need either one of those to open the RAR file.
