FINALLY, they're done!

The pack comes with 15 Chessies all with static road numbers and all three of the Chessie System Railroads included:
5 Chesapeake & Ohio
5 Baltimore & Ohio
5 Western Maryland
Hopefully that will be enough for you guys. Have fun!

They are most welcome on Tori's C&O Alleghany Subdivision, as she essentially modelled her route on the Chessie System/early CSX era.
Once out on the RWA file library, I'll line them up with the GP9 repaints, and see if they match up in colours.

I can almost guarantee you the colors won't match up. Maybe they'll be close, but they won't match. The reason being is the colors on the GP9s were just my best guesses at the correct Chessie colors. But with the SD40-2s, I had some real reference material to go on and I'm confident I got the colors right on them.
But fear not. I plan to revisit those repaints so I can fix the colors and possibly a few other things.

It doesn't have to be 100% accurate match. Batches of paint do vary, painters are sometimes sloppy, weathering and aging take their toll on new and shiny paint. Lighting varies, etc. etc.
Railroads usually specify their paint schemes in considerable detail, like the width of that vermillion separating stripe. Then the paintshop can run out of masking tape or tear their stencils, or has to quickly mix a batch of paint by eyeballing it.
I wil not be nitpicking, the general impression is what counts but two different units side by side must look "familiar" enough to presume they have the same owner.
Any prototypical repaint is most welcome, and generally the repaints offered by RWA.com's members have been excellent.
Tori's COARW board is in dire need of new postings and some nice screenshots showing off all those nice CSX repaints of late will be great.
