SD40-2W CN Zebra Repaints [Updated]

Unread postby roinuj » Sat Dec 17, 2011 4:58 pm

I would like to announce that I have uploaded my second contribution to the community, a package of 5 repaints of weathered CN SD40-2Ws in Zebra Scheme. Each repaint is individually created based on prototypical photo reference and are weathered to match those photos.

[UPDATE] Files have been uploaded and are available in the library. Link

If any comments or recommendations, please post here.

A quick note I forgot to mention in the readme file is I kept the blueprint physics default to the DLC but Kali posted an update to the blueprint he was working on that some people may wish to try out.

FWIW! Any files that get uploaded after noon (12:00 PM EST) don't get added to the library until sometime before noon the next day, usually early in the morning.

Edit 1: OK! They're available now. http://railworksamerica.com/FileLibrary ... Zebra_Pack

A little comment about installation and so on - you don't have to duplicate the entire folder structure for each repaint. You didn't include new cab textures, or a driver, or the animations and so on, so you can just reference the ones in the Default folder. The same for the sim folders, but usefully someone ( heh, probably me at this rate ) can make slightly different simulations for each reskin as you've done it like that.

Thanks for the tip Kali. I'm still working through the inner workings of RW and I can see your point about the efficency in referencing the unchanged default files instead of duplicating them. Will look at that for future projects. !!*ok*!!
