River Crossing Anyone?

I made this bridge a few months ago and completely forgot about it. *!embar*!

It's a replica of the Arthur Kill Lift Bridge. If you don't know where that is, it's on a short line between Staten Island and New Jersey. It's setup as a Level Crossing so when the train approaches the center span moves down into position and goes back up when the train moves away.

I tried for a while to get the sounds functioning, but couldn't make it work. So I guess I just gave up on it. It still has no sounds, but I pulled it out of the dust bin and finished it up.

I'm going to upload this sometime today.
Comes in a static and animated version, with all the accessories you see above. *!greengrin!*

Later.

Is it double track? If so it would be a shoe-in for the Martinez bridge.

Sorry, its the best picture I can find at the moment.

There is also the Burlington Bridge over the Mississippi near Burlington, Iowa.

Some months ago it was renovated by the BNSF: http://bnsf.com/media/video/

Okay Folks,
I just upload the whole pack. It should be up in the F/L by tomorrow.

I'm going to make the source files for this asset available for any freeware authors out there who want them. I'll let you know when they are ready for download.

Cheers.

Passed this bridge man times on the Jersey Turnpike and crossing the Goethals Bridge.

Fun fact it's the largest vertical lift bridge in the world, with the two towers being 215 feet each, and a truss span of 135 feet in height and 558 feet in length. Today it's used by CSX, NS, and Shared Assets to access Staten Island to drop and pick up trash cars and intermodal at the New York Container Terminal.

I'll take four & a WW2 era submarine if you please.

That is what my route will need when i am done
One for the Arkansas & Misourri railroad to cross the Arkansas river at Van Buren. & three to place in little rock One will be the current UP mainline Little Rock-Texarkana that goes over the Arkansas river, another will be the old Rock Island bridge. & the third will be the Junction Bridge which is an old Mopac lift bridge that has been donated to the city & converted to pedestrian use "you can walk across it" !!*ok*!! I am planning on modeling the river/rail streetcar whan my route gets to Little Rock

These photos were taken of & off of the Junction Bridge. http://www.thundertrain.org/JunctionBri ... ey-10R.jpg http://www.thundertrain.org/JunctionBri ... ey-18R.jpg
