New MCSA 1920s LONG DAYS WORK suite of 7 scenarios

Unread postby Popoff » Sat May 28, 2011 11:19 am

This suite of seven interlocking scenarios depicts one day’s work in and around the sawmill at Camden, Texas.
It takes place sometime in the spring of 1928, a little over a year before the beginning of the Great Depression,
when the mill was still running at peak capacity. The day’s work is divided into segments to make the work more
manageable (for both the player and the author).

The day begins at 6:00 am in Moscow where the player will assemble his train and take it east to the mill in
Camden. There, the mill sorting, loading, and unloading is spread over four segments. After that, a heavy train of
outbound mill products will be taken back west to the Moscow Interchange. Finally, a long string of empties must be
taken to Moscow with minimal head end power.

I know this is an old thread, but any chance of having these scenarios updated to run on the new MCSA. They all SBHH when trying to load them or edit them !*hp*!

I'm absolutely flattered that someone actually wants to run my scenarios! This is the one and only response I've received since I released the set 10 months ago.

I couldn't get my MCSA scenarios to run ever since the release of Train Simulator 2012 on 9/23/2011, only four months after the release of mine! Since I never got an inquiry about my MCSA scenarios, I never bothered to go through all that work again. However, since there are now two of us, I’ll look into making a new set. I kept very complete records of their creation just in case I might have to do just this. I can’t start right away but I’ll post an update when I get things going again.

Thank you for your interest, Sam

Sorry it took so long to get around to trying them. They've been sitting in my route folder I DL'd them and never ran them. After the route was updated, I loaded them again, but once again never got around to playing them. (Scenarios and routes are coming out faster than I can get around to playing them).

Last night I decided to do some old steam train scenarios and gave them a try, unfortunately they all SBHH on loading and I couldn't get them to open in the editor.

The MCSA 1920's sadly is an overlooked route. **!!2cents!!**

I agree that the MCSA is underdeveloped and would appreciate a retooling of your scenarios for RW3.

Same for me, even though I hoard them like a squirrel because I can't keep up.
