This suite of seven interlocking scenarios depicts one day’s work in and around the sawmill at Camden, Texas.
It takes place sometime in the spring of 1928, a little over a year before the beginning of the Great Depression,
when the mill was still running at peak capacity. The day’s work is divided into segments to make the work more
manageable (for both the player and the author).
The day begins at 6:00 am in Moscow where the player will assemble his train and take it east to the mill in
Camden. There, the mill sorting, loading, and unloading is spread over four segments. After that, a heavy train of
outbound mill products will be taken back west to the Moscow Interchange. Finally, a long string of empties must be
taken to Moscow with minimal head end power.
