It's actually not too difficult, what you do is edit the alpha to change the font, and the "normal texture" to change the color, usually when you look at the DDS thumbnail (unless it's one of those weird uncompressed variant windows doesn't recognize), it should reflect that.

Here's an example screenshot with the Amfleet number textures, however what I did do was delete the Amfleet numbers that would go on the window area stripe, as the pre-rebuilt Amfleets (in Phase I, II, III, and IVa paint schemes) did not have those, but in the situation with your CSX B36-7s, I don't think you'll need to alpha out any numbers.

By the way, really looking forward to this, (still load up those Conrail B36s on every 80s op I do), keep up the good work!
