Scenario: RWA City Pickups

Unread postby Toldrabald » Tue May 24, 2011 11:47 pm

Hey folks,
as I already stated in the RWA donation rolling stock thread I published a scenario which uses it on the Portland route. I see some of you already downloaded it and while it is not my first scenario I publish, it is my first US based one. Since I think the scenario will run without problems, what do you think about it? I'm planning to do more, but at first I would like to know if you like it or if you see any room for improvements. I would have liked to include more AI traffic, but it is a bit difficult on this route. Ran into some locked junctions or misleading signals during the creation so I had to reduce the traffic to make it operabable.
Since Portland has so much shunting possibilities, where would you like to go next? Or how about just staying inside Rigby Yard and sorting a consist together? Tell me your wishes and I'll see what I can put together *!!wink!!*

Some shunting in Rigby would be nice. :D

I like that you populated Rigby as much as you did. It makes it look like a large, busy yard rather than a big open space.

I like that idea; it's a nice yard.

Ugh. Y'all that like shunting. With the current 2D map it's a headache for me. I'll have to download and try out your scenario, Mr. T. Not that I don't already have a bunch of stuff still testing out already! Gads, y'all are determined to keep me driving all day! !*roll-laugh*!

In this one it is sort of easy, you just have to find your way one time into the yard and then back out again. But your concern is noted and I'd try to make it as clear as possible where to go when just operating the yard. I'm only scared of the many junctions that need to be operated, that would need a lot of testing when AI is supposed to pass by.
But okay, a Rigby only scenario it will be... Give me two weeks or so, need to finish something else first *!!wink!!*

And keep the feedback coming, thank you all!

Ok, I've not forgotten about you all, but I started a new job this week which sorta gives me 10 hour work days and keeps me away from Railworks too much. I still have to finish another two scenarios which not yet work out completely, I'll try to get them done tomorrow (thanks to a holiday day it should be possible) and afterwards I'll go right into RWA again. Could take until the end of the month for a first beta version though. I'm sorry about that, but unfortunately there is not much I can do about it. There is only so little time and so much to do *!!wink!!*
