This will thread will now be for all future repaints, not just the 2-10-2s.

First is just a black variant of the default 2-10-2.

Next is a Rio Grande version asked for by Fleegle411

And last but not least, two SP versions. One passenger and the other a freight. This was an interesting repaint to research because the Texas and New Orleans (SP subsidiary) had 12 F-1 class 2-10-2's purchased for them by SP in 1918, numbered 970-981 and lettered for the SP. And in 1922, SP had Baldwin make 50 F-4 class 2-10-2s. These were numbered 3668-3717 and in 1926, half of them were converted to coal with the last conversion back to oil in 1946. So it's not to far out the realm of possibility to imagine a three digit SP 2-10-2 with a coal burning tender.

Thank you for your Kudos, here are two more! Next I will do the one for which this class get's it's name: the Santa Fe, including the oil tender from the Cab Forward for more prototypical look. That will complete the ones I wanted to do. If anybody would like to suggest one, I'd be happy to hear it. The rest of the month is going to start getting busy for me so I will tackle them as time permits.

Now for the oil tenders:
The Santa Fe tenders are individually numbered 900-910.

The SP tender has the original decals/lettering and no numbers, but is color matched to the SP 2-10-2's.

I know ya'll are probably getting sick of seeing me post repaints, but I'm having too much fun repainting. Last one for now:

A fictional Western Pacific 2-10-2. I figured it would be fun using this through the Feather River Canyon.

And a WP repaint of the NKP Berkshire Tender

Not me.... you can keep doing this a day long. These look great!

Can you add/do a NKP Tender for the B&LE?

Sure thing! Since this will be a fictional repaint, how would you like it done? I can do any combination of what you see in my other engines or I can go for something completely different. Would you like any tender other than the stock vanderbilt?

Not fictional at all....

The square 10/12K tender you use above for the WP, SP and SF is very similar to the tender used on the H Class Texan’s that we’re first bought by the B&LE in 1928-9... These tenders very well could have been used on the B&LE Santa Fe’s as the vanderbilt units received maintenance. A better tender could only be Dick Cowen’s USRA 10-12K tender’s with the doghouse.

The tender you used above will work just fine as an alternative to the vanderbilt and will go well with your “black” Santa Fe repaint above.....

If you're looking for more ideas, how about the Boston & Maine's S class? It doesn't look much like the B&LE engines and I don't know what tender would make a good match, but we are rather lacking in New England steam power.
