Krellnut's Wagon Freight Sound Pack v.3.1 - Released!

The newest version of Krellnut's wagon freight sound pack has been uploaded to MediaFire. For whatever reason, IE 11 on my PC refuses to upload to the file library. I've uploaded it to MediaFire here. https://www.mediafire.com/?wxmppk5q8ta1vrw

There is no need to uninstall v3 of this add-on. Just run the installer and it will add the new North American content that has been released since the Pacific Surfliner route was released in October of 2013.

This pack includes ALL North American content ever released by RSC and has been updated to include wagon sounds to the following:

Stevens Pass Route Rolling Stock
Canadian Mountian Passes Route Rolling Stock
UP SD60M Rolling Stock
BN F45 Rolling Stock
Independence SD40-2 Rolling Stock

For those that wish to revert to the default track joint sounds, just run the RW_AssetSetup.exe file in the "Default Rail Joint Sounds" folder after you run the main installer. See instructions for details.

ADMINS: The package is ready to be added to the File Library as well. There is a txt file with all of the required form data for upload to RWA. Thanks!

If I don't have any of the previous sound packs, will this include the stock sounds from the routes not mentioned in the OP?

Yes, all North American DLC ever released by DG (RSC) to date that have rolling stock in the DLC are included.

thank you for this awesome pack everything went flawless..except HSC the coal hoppers are still silent i tried all the hints and tricks on this forum and the cars are still silent any help would be grateful

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I've uploaded a patched copy of the file to MediaFire. Those who haven't downloaded the file yet will not have to do the following. Just download the file from the link below and you will be good to go. Likewise, if you've already downloaded the file and would rather not go through opening the Hopper_H21a.bin file in RW_Tools or you don't own RW_Tools, you can download the new copy and reinstall as well to get the fix.

For those that wish not to download another copy to get the fix do this:

1. Go to the following folder in your Railworks Install. "C:\Program Files x86\Steam\Steamapps\common\Railworks\Assets\RSC\HorseshoeCurve\RailVehicles\Freight\Hopper_H21a\Default"

2. Open the Hopper_H21a.bin file with RW_Tools.

3. Copy the following:

4. In RW_Tools, scoll down toward the bottom of the Hopper_21a.bin file and look for </CargoDef>

5. Highlight </CargoDef> in the Hopper_21a.bin and everything below it and paste the code in this thread into the bin file then save.

That should do it.

No problem. I hate when something doesn't work. It's my nature. Apparently, this issue was a carry over from version 3.0 that was never caught.

That being said, last night while I was digging into this issue, I found another issue that apparently went un-addressed in v3.0, the sound volume options aren't really changing the volume of the cars like they should. I've got the FULL set fixed last night and will be working tonight to finish the others. That means another upload. This will be v3.1a. I'll post a new thread when it is uploaded.

And also im not sure if it was made that way but the Great Northern Empire Builder featuring the Emd F7 the sounds included in the pack does not work for the reefer cars and the other misc freight cars that came with the trainset

Thanks, just fixed that too. I was not aware that pack had freight rolling stock. I missed it altogether. Will be done uploading v3.1b shortly. I'll post a new thread for it. !!*ok*!!

EDIT: Well I thought I fixed it. Not sure what the deal is with the GN Empire Builder sounds. They are refusing to play even with the edit below. After spending an hour or so trying to figure this one out, I'm stuck. !*not-ok*!

EDIT: Ok, I got it. Apparently, the bin file for these cars don't like looking outside of the EmpireBuilder01 folder for the sound xml. Go figure. It's fixed though. Thanks for letting me know. Uploading v3.1b right now. Will start another thread with DL link. !!*ok*!!
