Sugar Beet Suite

Unread postby dick8299 » Sat Feb 15, 2014 11:40 am

I saw a post some time ago about adding a sugar beet load to a hopper and decided to go a couple of steps further.

I found 16 hoppers specifically designed for sugar beets in MSTS and converted them to RWA with the explicit approval of the original creator David Rowe. I googled images of sugar beet loading facilities and found that they were just simple conveyor arrangements. I constructed one from scratch and also created an unloading pit.

Here are some pictures of the new assets and a movie of them loading and unloading. I expect to have the upload package ready in a few days for inclusion in the file library here.

So that is what it is! I see one off the 101 as I pass Gilroy and I always wondered what it was. BTW, you nailed it. Great model.

I'm really tempted to make a snide comment, but will refrain in the interest of logging more hours on TS2014.
