Are you using an UK Route like Test Trak? If yes you need to check the Kuju\RailSimulatorUS provider/product in the Blueprint flyout of Scenario Editor in order to see and use the engines enhanced with lights and new cabviews. If you got see with new cabview (you can see most of front pannel) it means that's not your problem.

I already installed twice both pack (main and Expansion, downloaded from RWA LIbrary, for test purposes) in a clean railworks installation and they are working fine. If you have PACK02 you can use only SD70ACe liveries BNSF (Default), BNSF Whisper, CN and NS. Other than that... you may have a deffective installation of your PACK02. A verifying of cache game and then a new installation may fix.

Another important note in the Readme is that some Win 7 users (version dependent) are having problems to extract (unzip) the file which causes deffective installation of 10-Engine pack (that's a WIn 7 issue when the folders' path have more than 256 characteres, usual in TS2012)). You have to extract the files using the option "Extract here", as per Manual as well.

Keep us informed... *!!wink!!*

Upload the default engine folder from vol2 as a attachment so I can take a look at it, and try it in game, please. I really want to get this working for you. Every pack is totally separate, one does not need the other to work.

If only I knew how to do that. Sorry, but when I try to upload the folder, all it can do is open it, so I can't really upload my default folder. Sorry. *!sad!*
@Machinist
No, I am using the scenario that came with the sound pack. I have tried both the SD70MAC and the SD70ACE scenarios for Vol.2. I don't know what to do now.

Hi

The horn was ok at first but later in the same scenario, I just heard the start sound when the space was pressed then nothing until I released the space key, then the end sound played. There was no loop sound between the start and end sounds.

Chances are it's a RailWorks bug because it was originally ok.

Hi Gary, it was discussed in the other thread (about Expansion Pack, Brian is investigating). Krellnut's sounds are exclusively of engines, he even touched in cab folder. Horn and Dynamic Brake sounds (and related issues) are from RSC, both are handled by the core game. *!!wink!!*

If you have only Vol. 2 you cannot play the scenario for SD70MAC (it's a Vol 3 engine).
Scenario for SD70ACe BNSF even doesn't load? I'm sorry, try to upload the folder and maybe Krellnut get to help you. *!sad!*

No, no , no. I HAVE the pack 03 and the pack o2. I bought the SD70 Vol. 2 Addon and it came with SD70Pack02 and SD70Pack03.
And here is my Default folder. I had to compress it into a .rar though. *!mad!*
Edit: Apparently the file is too big to upload. I don't know how to make it smaller. Sorry.

At Noel,

Something has gone corrupt, so what I suggest you do is if you have any repaints in the two packs you own and want to keep, copy them to desktop. Then delete the SD70 packs you own. Go online to steam and verify cache. Now you'll have fresh SD70 packs. Download the sound pack again, and like Machinist said, be careful how you extract and try again.

If the rar file is larger than 256 KB, you won't be able to attach it to a post.
You could contact Doc via PM and get his email address and email it to him, if he's willing to do that. *!!wink!!*

What size is the rar file?

Following Krellnut instructions.... *!rolleyes!* about only (cough, hem) compressed 9..... (cough up, choke, hem) MB thoug !*roll-laugh*! That's the size including .Geo and textures, so only via e-mail indeed. Anyway, let's wait the verifying of game cache as suggested by Krellnut (deleting previously the PACK02 & 03 folders). In this case would be faster than send via e-mail such large file.

I've extracted all, and clicked install. The little white box pops up, says "install to Railworks" (nothing in above box BTW) It says it was installed, but when I go to my game, no new freeroams! **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!** Help from seasoned pros would be helpful! Thanks!
(I also have all 3 packs, so they all work fine normal)

OK, UP3985...

First of all, as I've been saying (as per Readme also), when extracting use the option "Extrac here", this will avoid some problems for some users. If you did that, excelent! !!*ok*!!

I never heard about being blank the box above the buttom "Install to Railworks", I guessed RWTools installer grabs the information from System, so it's expected to have the default "program files" path plus the railworks path. Anyway is very simple the fix for it.

In that box (at the left is writen "Rail Works Path") you should see something like this (Language and Steam installation dependent):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks

If you are not seeing that path, or if your Steam is installed in another disk (D: E: etc.) or another folder, just click in the buttom "...." (at the right of blank box) and browse to your Steam-Railworks Path, as above or another in which you have it installed. *!!wink!!* Just be sure that the last folder have to be "railworks".

Cheers,
Doc.

You can get a blank box in RW Tools if you did not set up the path to RW in the options and if you did not run RW yet. When you run it, info is sent to the registry. I found this out from my many copies of RW. I rename the folders. When I switch copies RW Tools does not find it until I run it once.

I'm !!**sorry**!! also if you gave up. I tested the pack from RWA in four different installations (the normal, one exlcusive for test, and two cleans) and didn't have any problem, so I guess the pack isn't messing the assets, unless other users are having the same problem and they are not reporting on here, which is a pitty! A good part of creation (if not the most part of it) is invested in testings, including installation's tests, to avoid problems for users. !*don-know!* BTW almost 360 downloads so far, thank you all for downloading the pack(s). !!*ok*!!

Cheers,
Doc.
