Well, that didn't work. Even when taking all of the sounds that were normally nested in the Kuju folders and moving them to WJ Sounds, the TrackBedRumble sounds are not playing in Quick Drive. The flat wheels sounds and everything else are there though. And in that, there is an exploit I can leverage to get what we're looking for.
So, I was messing around in my sound editing software and am going to merge the perfect wheel sounds with the rumble (flat wheel) sounds. I can change the pitch as speed increases to give more of a sense of speed as opposed to the constant speed we have now.
This I think, may give a better effect overall and solve the problem at the same time. Right now, the perfect wheel sounds have zero doppler effect. As the train goes by, they sound as if they are not really connected to a bogie. The rumble sounds do have doppler though. So, by merging the two files together, we will get that. Each car will have it's own unique perfectwheel and flat spot sound. I will then have to rewrite the frequency xmls to only have x amount of flat wheels named in the proxyxml files with the remainder being just perfect wheel sounds.
While not really changing the sounds that Walter created other than merging them, this is going to pretty much be a rewrite of the package. It shouldn't take me that long. It is worth at least testing. If it works, the we can use the trackbedrumble sounds for something else, but they will not work in Quick Drive.
Thoughts? Pointers? Screams of horror?

Plus, he helped with this pack a lot too.
