Hi,

Yes, this is great news indeed! Thanks very much for building this fantastic route, the first version was already so very good, I can hardly wait to see what the next release will offer.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Jack and Michael, glad to be a contributor. I always wanted to build a route but MSTS wouldnt let me :( After 7 retries in RW, it came to be. This release has a completed Element Ethanol plant and resort town across from it. The town of Chandler across from the Chandler Industrial Park is completed now. The 9 miles from Chandler to the end of the route is all forested up, like I do it anyway. And I built a town around the Clawser station at the west end of the route. After the West End Transfer yard I added a large wye that has a virtual connection to Tori's C&O and the IIRv4 route. We are making scenarios that cross routes. The East End virtually connects to the Horshoe Curve route. The very West End virtually connects to SMM digital's NSAND route and we think the Soo Line may be in there as well. In MSTS I made a virtual US out of 29 routes that have activities spanning a lot of them. Once I get the route out of the way I will be putting all the routes that are usable togther to form a NERW Empire. There are several people at NERW writing them now and testing them. What some of you may not realize is that I painted a ficticious livery to go with the ficticious route. So once we get going, all rolling stock and other items will be available in one place. No need to search anywhere for anything, everything will be in house. At this time everything is in my forum. I started a web site and everything will be going to that and open to the public. Right now you have to register at the forum to get the stuff. All my MSTS vrs are setup for members only. This time I decided to open it all up since bandwidth and HD space on a server is so cheap now I never have to worry about running out of either with the reseller gig I got.

We are also creating a logbook for engineers to keep track of the hours they run using the NERW system, like a game in a game sorta of thing. Over the years I also learned that some people consider this role playing, it may well be, but it has been extremely succesful for me. But as I say with all the BW and HD I have I can open it to the public then you wont need to join the forum or club to get what we have to offer. If you need support, you will have to join the forum for that.

At this time we have around 35 scenarios ready, those that have run them are enjoying them so I must be doing something right eh?

Not to complain but I sure wish you would do a upload of all the rolling stock. I spent the last three hours d/l stuff only to be told another piece was missing.

That may come in the future. But my reasoning was that no one would want ficticious liveries. I have quite a bit of stuff. The only things I uploaded are the real world livery items. Then I would have to package everything up properly for upload to RWA, that is time I do not have at the moment trying to finalize the route. Working on the docs now !*hp*! However, everything is available at my forum. As I say havent had time to make a proper web site so everything is in the forum for now. You dont have to participate if you dont want to be in another forum, but all the dl's are there for the taking to whoever joins up.

I planned on making giant packs of everything, an engine pack and a rolling stock pack. All of this is being used in our scenarios, but at the moment they are pushing 500 meg. I kinda dont want to take advantage of Hawk and his site when I have my own. See what the future brings...

Thanks for replying Bob. I guess (d/l a scenario) that it would be nice if the guys would just even make up a list of what rolling stock is required for these things so I could know what to looking for. I don't mind d/l stuff even in pieces it just gets frustrating when you keep loading RW and the scenario says you are missing whatever, you go get it re-load and now there's something else not there. You know how rail works is about that.
Anyway thanks for listening. You are doing a fantastic job on this thing.

I don't mind downloading a 500 MB asset pack. What is really aggravating (and sadly, is the case for most of DLC) is hunting for elusive assets, using vague or incorrect indications from the readme.txt.

Buzz, I am teaching my guys daily about scenario writing. Got a good bunch of guys, most I have known for over 10 years. The rolling stock listings are coming. RW Tools can help with that also. And once I get everything in the web site all of that will be right at the download link for a scenario. Small description and required rolling stock and if it is freeware or payware rolling stock. As with all my other clubs/VRs, I find if you make it easy as possible then the maximum amount of fun can be had. With nothing to frustrate you except your trainhandling *!!wink!!*

Chacal, the only assets you have to get on your own are the 3D Trains freeware products, which chances are you allready have them, and 1 new get yourself asset is the G-Trax freeware Huskie container set. I dont want to go looking for assets either or trains.
