The NYC Hudson was the only one available for a long time until DSGDDR's version came out. It's also fun to experiment with them, such as creating a 2-8-8-0 with the triplex.

LOL, I've made the 2-8-8-0 as well.

When you download the engines and get them installed, you may not be so amazed. Remember, they are very primitive compared to engines created for TS. But, they can still be fun to operate and with some added features, such as sound, smoke, etc. would improve them greatly.

It’s pretty amazing what you can do by going to a larger format and cleaning up and adding stuff. We shall see.

Correct. If done correctly, a MSTS conversion can look very good. Yes, the ones already in the library are dated, but if someone would one day come along and “re-bake” them, they could very well be updated significantly.

Yeah, they are dated, but like has been said, some of them are better than others. And they can be improved to make them even better. I personally think the "U.P. 4-12-2 "9000-series" series are the best model's overall in the MSTSConversions pack. It really just need some texture improvements, and maybe a better cab interior like the one from the RSC Challenger or BigBoy. I played around with the physics a bit on it, but I'm no expert when it comes to that. We've had some physics mods done for other loco's on this site, so maybe we can get some physics mods done for some of these, including the one's being uploaded by mikeadams2k.

I just installed the Allegheny, and I am pretty thrilled. The driver rework mentioned shows. I hope there is enough interest in someone adding the additional animation. This is a great addition with much potential.

Need some help here. What values to I change to physically move the couplers around I'm getting some to work but like the one on the back of the tender is hidden back by the rear truck. The one on the front of the loco is hidden under the front mains.

I too am having trouble. I'm not sure where to put the source folders, and as a result, I currently have no sound or smoke effects.

Your source files always go in RailWorks/Source. If the Source folder does not exist, you'll have to create one.

I noticed there are 2 versions of my upload. I was afraid the first (SVDL.7z) was not properly formatted and would be rejected, so I uploaded SVDL2.7z.

Also, I got permission from 'B & O Guy" at Elvas Tower to port his PRR M-1 Mountain and his ALCO FA/FB-1 and PA/PB-1 to TS2019. I'm working on the Mountain now. It will take more time since these engines don't come with textures.
Here they are in Blender, if anyone's interested.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

As I stated in my original post, these engines do not have effects such as smoke, sound, etc. Adding the source folders won't change that.

Look at the UP9000. Something of that nature should work I think.

Ahhh, looks like my sanity is unstable. !*roll-laugh*! I look forward to adding the PRR mountain & ALCO FA/PA’s to my collection!

I’ll look into getting a proper C&O 6 chime or single chime on the Alleghenies. Tyler Cearlock’s berk sounds could also be of use...
