These are really sweet units. Thank you so much.. Are you going to do more by chance? Is so any FURX units?

These are really lovely, well done. I have a couple of suggestions for future:

* Instead of going quite so much darker on the white like you did so it's ended up visibly grey, just take the opacity down a bit. I don't know which engine you're using but the TSX engine seems to not over-bloom white - I just painted a totally white tank car earlier & it didn't need much darkening to make it a shape rather than a blob.
* Might also want slightly higher contrast, the darker greys are quite light.

Other than that, I am going to study your textures quite a bit to see how you did what you did, I think.

@BNSF650 Thanks. I do indeed plan on doing some more. Right now I'm leaning towards doing some CN repaints. I started with the SD40-2W DLC version but am not happy in how the texture is working out. I may give up on it and do some CN units using the TS2012 SD40-2. I also will look at doing some more lease units as its fun doing the patch painting.

@Kali Thanks. I'll look into implementing those suggestions in my future repaints. I did use a a little grey in the whites to try combat some "blooming" I saw in game in hard light however, I think as I added the weathering effects of dirt, grime and dust it magnified the grey colouring. I'll give it a try and see how things work. If you have any questions about what I did in PS, let me know.

I might do that, always looking for new techniques :)

I was looking at doing a CN SD40 on the new model but in the end I decided the CN pack one was good enough for now. I am considering doing the new F7 though, and/or one of the low-nose Geeps. Not sure I can bear ( or have time to ) work out where all the little pieces are right now...

@Kali,

I'm hoping to repaint the Wide Nose CNs to do some rough weathered Zebras. I love the used and abused look. *!lol!* I'll start a WIP post once I get further along and figure out the texture for that model. I was thinking a new CN repaint of the TS2012 to take advantage of the new model would be a good addition to the community. Just hard to get excited about the CNNA scheme. *!!wink!!*

The more the merrier! :) looking at canadian freight stock right now as that's a bit quicker and there seems to be a bit of a hole, other than Michael's recent stuff. The default tank is really not very cylindrical and has some very odd mapping... I may have to do try and do a new shell for it.

BTW take a look at my autonumbers thread, you might find that pretty interesting given you want your numbers in the right places.

@BNSF650

I used Photoshop CS4 for the graphics work and RWTools for the conversions.
