Awesome stuff! Already using a couple on my route and they look great! Can't wait to see some of that stuff you have in the pipeline. And yes, I think we might just need some 48's!

ca2kjet wrote:Cabover / Standard Cab Trucks ** not started yet, is there any interest in this?

I know I would be interested in some tractor trailers, and I'm sure others would be too.

If you're lookin' for ideas, I think a lot of us would agree the North American automobile industry is not well represented with default stock, and the few other cars/trucks we have are either payware or date back to RS. Perhaps some vehicle packs are in order somewhere down the line?

About them big rigs, I personally would like to see a 2004 Peterbilt 379, a 1995 Kenworth W900L, a mid 80's Mack R Dump truck, a 1998 International 9800, and a 2001 Freightliner Classic XL. Those are kinda the essential trucks in my book. That's just my two cents **!!2cents!!**

ooh! I second Csxgp38-2! MoW trucks are a must. I can snap some reference shots of CN, CP, and UP stuff if you'd like. CP especially, since the rail train just came in and they have a LOT of work to do, seeing as the track inspection vehicle that came through last week was posting 10 MPH speed restrictions every half a mile it seemed, AND took a section of single track main out of service with both Amtrak Empire Builders already running late. !*hp*!

Nope, two 53' trailers will not fit. Two 48' versions should. I am working on a blog post about how to add these to the game. If you have the the SD40 wide nose DLC you should (please correct me if I am wrong) have the RTTX flatcar shown in my screen shot. As it turns out you can clone a variant, strip out the textures, GEO and all but two BIN files to get this to work. Whoever designed this model was smart and made it super easy to add any type of load you want, however, positioning the load will take just a bit of trail and error since you have to do that through the matrix in the BIN file. You'll see what I mean when I have the tutorial all written up.

@shicoe30

Yep, sounds like I'm going to have to do some 48' ones. Those should be easy to do since I can modify the current trailers and just change up the textures for the new ones. Since I'm going to do that, I might as well add some more texture options and maybe add some more for the 53'.

I'll see what I can do for the trucks you listed and I'm def interested in doing the MoW trucks and possibly creating low poly but good looking North American cars.

@PapaXpress

That would be great info to have! I have the cars from the Canadian National SD40-2 Wide Nose add-on but don't have a clue what to do to change out the load. Can't wait for your tutorial post!

+1 on the tutorial post. I'd really like to learn how to do this. Particularly with these great trailers.

Working on the Diesel/Stock Maintenance Facility

I need more reference material! I couldn't find much online for the interiors of these things nor the fueling area, although I did find good stuff for the sand towers. I won't go over board but do want to provide a fair amount of detail. Any help is appreciated! *!greengrin!*

Right now I'm testing the overall building design and taking notes about sizing and space. And yes, the building has slanted roofs just in case someone questions the shape of it.

All bays are usable, but some sides have the doors closed. There's going to be a 2 track fueling/sanding area to the right of the building and there will be pits available but I won't touch that until much later.

If you could built a state of the art facility wouldn't you want lots of room to work within? There's going to be no cramped spaces here!

I shall keep chugging away at this, no pun intended! *!!wink!!*
