(GTEL) All that really needs to be done to bring them up to the current status is remove the top railings, square up the top corners, add rivets and a bit of apparatus up top, slim it down a bit, and there it is. The trucks are unchanged so in my novice mind of 3d computer modelling, it seems like an easy mod for an expert, but I'm sure it's more complicated than that.

If you check out DSGDDR's channel, the guy who made the 1st UP turbine tender,he also made this un-released water tender, plus the Union Pacific 9000's:

If that locomotive is released with the water tender I'll be the first to buy it. I love the 9000 Class.

Overall, quite close. I believe these are NSTS conversions, as the lights and sounds and so on don't work.

Image

I think it would be possible to add some scripting for the lights and bogie detail to fix it so they can be used until Mike finishes his.

How'd you get it to work?
P.S. The 1st original tender never had a backup light either. He scratch-built them.

OK, there are more than a few issues, old fashioned shadows, missing textures, and so on. The lead model in the picture is two sided, and does have working lit elements, just no beam. the darker one is one sided and has texture issues as well (missing numbers etc.) The models are well done, and the detail is terrific. Now to see if we can magic some fixes.

Later: According to the .bin file, it's calling KUJU Railsimulator US files and such looks like I can redirect to Krellnut's wagon sounds, and will be able to fix the beam on the lighter colored one. the lettering is a decal.

At one time someone asked me to make a decal for the UNION PACIFIC lettering. Unfortunately I never finished it.

Did you simply just drag the new "DSGDDR" folder into your assets folder?

Other than some missing folders in the download, yes.

I believe it can be fixed up, let me get the garbage out and I'll see what I can do.

After some examination, I believe these were compiled in TS some time ago. Long enough ago that they needed soft shadows and didn't have projected lights. 2010 or so is my guess.

I'll see what I can do.

Two different models, the veranda tender (above) and the GTEL tender (below).

Image

I have the numbering working, the shadows fixed and the lights half working on the Veranda tender, they glow but no light beam. I'll keep whittling at it.
