It does default to 3200 THP in the Default/Simulation dir.
But in the Default/Engine dir 4300 files are the default.

Also in the ND and non-ND version you have various differences between 3200 and 4300. For non-ND version only mass is different. For ND version mass and Ammeter range is changed.

The ammeter range change should be minimal if anything, so I don't think that hinders much from an operating perspective.

The mix up of files in the engine directory must be a result of my testing the files and forgetting to revert back to the 3200 files before packaging the mod. In the end, the mass difference is like 2 metric tons, so it really doesn't change much of anything from an operating perspective either.

Just wondering if anyone has a strange buzzing sound when applying brakes with the cab forward pusher mode in the F59PHI Amtrak version. It has nothing to do with the mod apparently, because if I remove the folder the mod is in,leaving only the original .ap , I still get his buzz. Seems like the buzz is coinciding with the brake pipe reduction, but using a weird sound file. When the loco is in front of the train, brake sounds are perfectly normal.

In Quick Drive this can be checked by using the loco EMD F59 PHI Surfliner + 5 Cars ( cab car leading)

Not sure what you're talking about. You should try and record a video of this and post it.

Just was contacted by DTG Tech support, and they reproduced the same problem so it is a bug with that loco. All that troubleshooting for nothing !*hp*! *!!wink!!*

It's just one of the brake handle sounds playing more than it should. You can easily get it not to play at all by isolating the file and renaming it.

Its a typo in the proxy for that file. It says something like "ValueIncreases" rather than "ValueIncreasePast" I believe.

Give me till the evening of April Fools... I'll isolate the file and post it here.

Thanks. I have spent hours looking for it, with zero success.

You weren't looking very carefully then lol... Took me all of 20 seconds to find it.

The file that is looped repeatedly is the "Auto_Apply.dav" file located in the following directory --->
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\PacificSurfliner\Audio\RailVehicles\Passenger\CaliCar\Cab.

Unfortunately you cannot simply remove the file to get rid of the ticking noise, as removing the file all together would mean no air sound as the brakes are applied. What I suggest doing is finding a substitute sound file to use that does not have the "tick" in it. Either that, or editing the "tick" out of the existing sound file.

I had tried isolating that file by renaming it the other day, and still had the sound, so I figured that wasn't it. Anyway, I just now found another Auto_Apply. dav file from a working loco, and used it to replace the one in the folder you pointed at, and the noise is exactly the same. Apparently that file is not producing the loud buzz.

Is brake performance any different than those of JohnS?
