Ripped-off? That's a laugh. Last time I checked it was I who put the long ours into creating the track in the first place, never mind the hours spend getting things working in Pacific Surfliner. If you felt so strongly about this then you wouldn't even use the track - why not create your own, or do you prefer to freeload off the backs of others?

Ha thats a good one. As if your hours spent doing exactly what I did was anymore or or less important in what I did to get all those things and more working. Then again like I said before weren't you the one that release Scalerail as freeware? Or maybe I was seeing things. In the future try not to release freeware and then turn around and start charging people to use it.

In Marc's defense, the Pacific Surfliner upgrade was payware, not freeware. Maybe this is where the licensing issue is.

In defense of all us little people, Marc, it kinda hurts when you say that "no one else cares" about your work. I certainly do, as I'm sure a lot of others here and all over do.

Hope you guys can settle this. I for one would hate to see either one of you leave this community. *!!thnx!!* I'll leave y'all (and this Thread) alone now.

Marc, I wish you would explain exactly what your issue is. I think I might agree with you but want to have a further explanation please.

His conversion (freeware) conflicted with my version (payware). Someone sees a payware version and a freeware alternative - with my tack btw - which do you think they'll go for? The sales keep things afloat while I continue with my own projects. It was a whole month before I saw this post - how many potential sales lost? It's not the conversion I mind, but the distribution.
Cheers!

I think he caught you on a loop hole Marc...this is a scenario where anyone could convert any route with your tracks and post it as freeware. Its unfortunate you both did the same thing this time and you want to charge for yours...I get that but its open to modding and that's what the community is encouraged to do. As long as your freeware version is available then the burden is on you. If payware version only then non issue going forward. But that screws me because I bought a license from you covering peoples use of your freeware version when they buy my routes. Buying something that is completely dependent on anothe Purchase isn't very attractive for buyers.

I like you both and your works are very much appreciated, but let's get this sorted.

Chacal:

I was going through your list of mods and was trying to compile the list , but many of the mods I cannot find?

Would you please provide locations of the mods on your list?

Thank you, Gerry

These are my own names for the mods.

Most of them are, or were, here on RWA.
Tell me which ones you can't find and I'll do what I can.

Most of those are here in the RWA library or forums.
Doug Smith's mods are no longer available since he passed away.
I'll try to find the rest.

Hi Chacal;

Okay! I scrubbed the list again and have it down to just three:

Sound fixes for EMD F59PHI (Pacific Surfliner route) by BNSF Dude Missing - (Nothing hear by BNSF Dude that I could find either in library or forum?)

TOFC loads by Doug Smith (Smitty's locomotive shed) Missing - (Understood that he has passed away ( very sad) so no longer available from him. Were they freeware? I have some of his items, but the TOFC loads were not among them.)

SD40-2 CN Wide - new physics by Kali + new textures by roinuj Missing - (Not able to locate this one either in the library or forum?)

Sound fixes for EMD F59PHI (Pacific Surfliner route) by BNSF Dude ---- Beats me, this has to be recent, I probably got that from the forum.
TOFC loads by Doug Smith (Smitty's locomotive shed) ---- probably payware at the time
SD40-2 CN Wide - new physics by Kali ---- this must come from the forums. It may not be a published mod, it may just be a post.
SD40-2 CN Wide - new textures by roinuj ---- http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... e-repaints
