I might attempt that one next, after I finish this one, since I want to build an entire fleet of various flying items and buildings from the past.

Later they all will be used on my freeware big city style route, whenever I feel like building a route.

Basically me building a full route is like trying to convince a hermit to move into the big city and be surrounded by a ton of people.

Several times I have tried building a route, but I always get tired of it and shut it off for a while.

As a young kid I was always fascinated by airships and vintage buildings and cars. So I have set out to bring the 30's scene to Railworks.

I think I'd rather leave that off, might bring a bad reputation with it, and also, I would have to try to custom make an entire texture and make it look like it had always been there.

I might attempt to put the zeppelin mark on it however, but it won't be easy.

Why? Putting the historical significance aside, why not leave it plain?

I knew there were other Zeppelins, but until now I never knew about them. Thanks! :D

Somebody has to make solar powered one. Take around the world a few times. I think it would only cheer us all up.

I'm not a Nazi, but how many of you realize that the Cimarron & Pacific used a swastika as its logo before WWII? BTW, I wasn't serious with JP. It was a weak attempt at humor.

My father was a survivor from Nazi occupation. I am not sure why, but he made it very clear to me when I was young that the symbol was around far longer than the Nazi, and had nothing to do with them other than them stealing it.

That was my point, leave it plain. Wow, this is going down the wrong road. Sorry, JP, you are doing a fantastic job. I just got on the wrong track in the discussion. !**duh*!!

That's absolutely right Papa. About 3,000 years actually, and before Hitler used it, the swastika was used by many cultures/religions to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck, all good wishes. *!!wink!!*

The word "swastika" comes from the Sanskrit svastika - "su" meaning "good," "asti" meaning "to be," and "ka" as a suffix

Your modeling has certainly come a long way, but what happened to all your buildings? Will you be returning to those?

Yes, just for now have gotten tired of building buildings for a while, so I decided to do some other things needed for the era.

Maybe if I can figure out how to shape it right, the main shape of a zeppelin can be cut from half of the flat version and then extruded in a circle to get the exact shape.
An airplane like this has a very different shape. First I'll try some flatter style airplanes that weren't very rounded.

Here you go, another paint of the airship.

The Hindenburg for Railworks.

Hindenburg Progress 1 B.jpg

Think I'll release it the way it was supposed to be though, without the symbol on the tail.

Some more progress on the main body of the airship.
