NEPA-FHPG-004_Thunderstorm

Unread postby wackyhuman » Wed May 23, 2012 10:32 am

Scenario by FH Productions Group for Railworks 3
Design: Frank Hemmelder

Route:- North Eastern Rail Works - PA Division
Scenario: NEPA-FHPG-004_Thunderstorm
Description: A heavy thunderstorm plays havoc with visibility, but you still have to deliver your cargo. Bring some empty gravel cars to Aaron's Gravel Yard.

Start Time: 06:00 (6 AM)
Duration: 30 minutes
Difficulty: easy

It is storming, a heavy thunderstorm is hanging above Chandler and visibility is poor, which makes this busy morning in the yard and on the main lines even more dangerous. There is a lot of traffic around you, so stay awake and pay attention to signals and switches or you could crash into another train.

Requires the experimental (WIP demo) thunder storm weather (with HQ stereo sounds) from Doc (Machinist) Lisboa, that is part of the NERW Locomotive Enhancement package v1.0 as found on the NERW website at http://www.vnerrforums.com. Without it you will miss most of the effects. Registration (= free) required to download.

WARNING: Contains flashing (strobe like) lighting effects. Do not use this scenario with the weather effects if you are sensitive to flashing lights

Uses only NERW default stock, which can be found on the NERW website.
Contains a number of AI trains.

omg I've been looking for a thunderstorm to drive through. I'll give this scenario a shot.

Edit: I can't seem to find the NERW Locomotive Enhancement thing I'm suppose to get. !*don-know!*

Edit2: Doh, had to register..

I am at work but I was able to validate you. You will find the NERW enhancement under the downloads forum called Utilities.

Enjoy the scenario... !*salute*!

Ps.: before install the enhancement pack, be sure you have previously installed the NERW engines' fleet correctly, test if scenario is working, and then you are ready to install the lighting pack.

Hi Brian, as per first post, and the post above yours:

BTW I loved your last ES44AC horn, I'll recommend also to NERW engineers, once ours huge engines are the ES44AC (in this scenario is used SD40-2 though). I loved and used since you published the Horn Replacement V.2 (an wonderfull 6th chord sound :D ), but his new one is even better! What are those horns, v.2 and current? Congrats and keep on blasting us! !*cheers*!

Cheers,
Doc.

There's a good thunderstorm scenario in the Trains & Drivers Woodhead pack too. At least, I enjoyed it. :D

Been trying to register on the site for the past 20 minutes, unsuccessfully, and don't much like the procedure.

I enter my username, email, password, etc., and try to enter the antibot code. Since the code is case-sentitive, it's a little difficult to determin upper and lower case letters.

In any case, so far, every time I enter the code it tells me it's invalid, and tells me to enter it again. Problem is, it doesn't give the the code field on the page after thgat. I have to close down the browser winder, re-open it, and start the registration process again. I re-enter all of my informatiuon. Again. I type the antibot code. Again. It tells me it's incorrect. Again. It redisplays the page without the antibot code field. Again. *!mad!*

After 4 attempts I decided it's more trouble than it's worth and gave up trying to register.

Sorry.

See this post for the containers that you are missing. They are new and Bob has included them in the new website, but not yet in the old (since that is going).

The scenarios are in the forum, they each have their own forum. The fleet downloads are mainly on the web site. Click on their picture to download. New repaints are in the Download Forum.

This will really grab you, I just built a new web site and the old one will be gone soon.

And you can get a lot more help at the forums about NERW stuff as a bunch of people there are geared to the NERW.
