It doesn't have to be 100% accurate match. Batches of paint do vary, painters are sometimes sloppy, weathering and aging take their toll on new and shiny paint. Lighting varies, etc. etc.
Railroads usually specify their paint schemes in considerable detail, like the width of that vermillion separating stripe. Then the paintshop can run out of masking tape or tear their stencils, or has to quickly mix a batch of paint by eyeballing it.
I wil not be nitpicking, the general impression is what counts but two different units side by side must look "familiar" enough to presume they have the same owner.
Any prototypical repaint is most welcome, and generally the repaints offered by RWA.com's members have been excellent.
Tori's COARW board is in dire need of new postings and some nice screenshots showing off all those nice CSX repaints of late will be great.
