Yeah, I kept getting a SBBH in that area. I wondered if it might have something to do with the AI train that is moving around further west. He may hit something about that time that causes a problem. I don't know...

After changing out the caboose for a good ol' red van, I was able to get through the spot east of the depot. We'll see what happens next. By the way, that green bus seems to eat cars when stopped at grade crossings.

Oh, pooh! I SBHH'ed again at 0.3 mile east of the depot. I was so sure that I had this licked.

Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\railvehicles\passenger\chaircar\gn\coach\chair_car_gn.bin

Are repaints of the default Caboose (Milwaukee) and centerflow hoppers (GN), available here in the RW2 section of the file library,
and the coach is part of the GN F7 repaint pack (now in the TS2012 section).

I think I found them all. For some reason on the caboose and coach, I downloaded the wrong roadname. The hoppers took some hunting. They have keyword: GreatNortherner-GN_HawkerSiddeley_4-Bay_Hopper

I still have something wrong though... I have missing textures for the numbers on the caboose and the brakes won't come out of emergency on the engine.

Thanks,
Don

Michael, great work on these scenarios and the route, both are amazing! Only thing I have to say is at some crossings the car stop trigger is set on the wrong side of the tracks so cars go across and then stop once across as the gates are down. Other than that, terrific job! !!*ok*!!

Hi,

Thanks again for the new comments, I think this mess is slowly getting cleaned up. I'm guessing that a few of the issues with the freeware stock version could have been caused by replacing the RSC Geep with Dave's model, which has these complex simulation setup. Could it be possible that this causes some issues, that maybe some of the engine specific values set for the RSC engine in the scenario file don't work well with Dave's model? At any rate, I'll give this one another try with the default SD40 and see how this goes.

That strange facing switch bug with the CBQ hoppers I still have no idea about, but I hope it can be solved by rebuilding their BIN files using the values of one of the other cars from that series, like for example the MILW PS2 hoppers, which seem to work fine. This too will need some more testing though.

Don, I'll check what the cause for the missing textures on the caboose could be. I don't remember seeing these on my model, but maybe I simply forgot to package some files.
The issue with the engine being 'stuck' in emergency at the start is I think intentional, as part of the more complex simulation that Dave has developed a for it you'll need to throw a few more switches (three of the small ones on the main control stand below the ammeter) before being able to work the controls. Please see the GP7's original readme for a more detailed instruction.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Michael. Nice scenario. Nice route too... noticed a couple of minor errors with it... signal by the flour mill doesn't show up on the map. Also, some switch stands in the middle of tracks. I think I saw a post about that.

I replaced the GP7 with the RSC GP9. Works great. :)

Thanks

Hi,

A new and hopefully bugfixed version is now finally done.
http://www.mediafire.com/?958lxb0lrbf3abg

The freeware version now uses the SD40, the AI meet doesn't seem to cause a crash -- at least not on my PC. I also redid some instructions and changed the arrival siding at Falls Yd of the return run so the cars will actually fit on the siding. *!embar*! Pushing the CBQ hoppers over the facing point switch also seems to work fine.

Sorry for the many problems with this scenario! It was really not my intention to steal so much of your time.

Thanks very much for all your help!

Cheers,
Michael

Michael,

The payware version ran without any problems. I'm sure you have heard about the switchstand on the roadbed at the GN end of the Interchange Track.

Thanks!
Whoohoo! !*YAAA*! Finally, took me long enough to get this sorted out. **!!bang!!**

And yes, I'm aware of the scenery issues (switch stands, some floating trees, misplaced level crossing markers in a few places). Thanks! These should all be fixed out with the next route update.

Cheers,
Michael
