Forest Land Localisation File uploaded

Unread postby Griphos » Thu Dec 22, 2011 4:43 pm

Hello all,

I've uploaded a localisation file pack to translate the Russian to English for the lovely Forest Land route available here: http://railroadsim.net/en/downloads/rw/routes (waiting for approval)

I have the permission of the route creator, and I believe all the translations are accurate. I've tested them all in the three included scenarios. If you spot an error, though, let me know and I'll fix it. Maestro is going to use the file in his next version release, I believe.

The track in this route between the towns has a little bit abrupt grade transitions, but the two cities are laid out very well and have wonderful freight and shunting opportunities (lots of coal). The 3rd scenario utilizes the incredible TEM2 from the same place and there are a number of great freight cars as well. Highly recommend it.

Hope this helps you enjoy the route.

:-)

Всегда пожалуйста

Yeah, you can't just stick the text into Google translate! That makes for some pretty funny instructions.

I had a friend in Moscow help with the instructions and puzzling out some of the labels, but a lot became clear from just looking around the route world and running through the scenarios. Spent the better part of three days on it. :-)

It was kind of a fun puzzle though, and worth it as the route and engine are great.

File is available now.

Glad it's working and you're enjoying the scenario. It's a good one. I think I'll try my hand at writing one that takes up where that one leaves off the next morning and runs some empty coal cars to Alexandrov and brings back a loaded train from the mine. Lots of operation potential on that route I think.
