HHP-8 Amfleet Texture Upgrade and Business Class Car

This is a texture upgrade to the Amfleet cars of the “Amtrak HHP-8 Loco Add-On”, and the addition of the Amfleet I Business Class car.

In my opinion, the default textures looked too “yellowish”. So, I tweaked them to give them a more “stainless steel” look. Also, I corrected the “Amtrak Blue” stripe and the “Amtrak Red” pin stripes and sill stripe. Now they match the P42DC locomotive from the upgrade pack you can download here:

Textures Installation:

1. Using File Explorer, go to the folder located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\AcelaHHP8Pack01
2. Drop the RailVehicles folder from this pack into the folder you just opened.
3. That’s it. Texture installation completed.

Business Class Car Installation:

1. Using 7zip File Manager open the AcelaHHP8Pack01Assets.ap file.
2. Open the RailVehicles folder you just dropped and go to Passenger\Amfleet\AmBusiness
3. Inside the AcelaHHP8Pack01Assets.ap file, go to RailVehicles\Passenger\Amfleet\AmCoach\.
4. Drop the AmCoach.GeoPcDx and Loco_Amcoach_2d.GeoPcDx files into the AmBusiness folder from step 2.
5. The Amfleet I Business Class car is now ready to roll.

The advantage to DTG recycling rolling stock is that this will work on all Amfleet cars within all DLCs. I just installed it to Miami and Washington-Baltimore as well. Just drop the RailVehicles folder in both those folders and the textures will take effect.

You're kidding? The Amfleet IIs from Miami have doors in only one side. Did they looked ok? I also edited the Miami Amfleet car textures and you can tell they were made for one vestibule whereas this one was made for two.

I just got done dropping in the files and editing the bin for the business class. I am about to test it.

You are right, the Miami ones are the AmfleetII and only have entry doors on the front end of the car. I tried your textures and they did not work. Deleted them and they went back to the originals.

I thought so. However if you have the Northeast Corridor or Washington-Baltimore route, I think they might work. I don't think you even have to renamed them. BTW, I plan to release a texture upgrade for the Miami passenger cars and probably an audio upgrade for the Miami P42DC. Right now I'm working on the AEM-7 phase V textures and its Amfleet Cafe with the Northeast Regional logo.

Wow! They really have that look of stainless steel. Are you using a graphics mode or did you just edited the pictures?
