Northern Pacific Caboose (for GN X200)

Coming soon to a siding near you!...

MR Cab Wood NP 07.jpg
MR Cab steel NP 01.jpg
MR Cab Wood NP 03.jpg

Two Northern Pacific caboose repaints exclusively for the GN X200 caboose included with the payware GN Wagon Pack (Steam Store). The NP did not own any X200's, so this is a purely fictional offering. Both the wood and steel versions feature static numbers and markings. Sorry, but no extra road numbers this time, perhaps in a sequel. Credits and thanks to the original developer, Michael Stephan (GreatNortherner), for the original textures which served as the foundation for these repaints.

They should be available in the next RWA Library update !!howdy!!

It's the G-Trax SP&S oil burner, that I'm currently working on to repaint as a Northern Pacific A3 coal burner. The caboose repaints came about since I needed an NP wood caboose to go with it, and the steel version shares the same folder in the original GN Wagon Pack, so it's just along for the ride so to speak.

Finally someone's taking over my project of the NP A-3 4-8-4. Plus the tender is still the same as the SP&S version.

Uhhh.. I'm not taking over anyone's project; I just wanted to make some A3's out of some E1's and thought I'd share the wealth. !*don-know!*
Obviously, you're a fellow NP fan, so I don't want to step on any toes. If you've got dibs on this, then I'll gladly stop the presses and move on to something else; mum's the word.

Yes, the tender is the same, but it's double mapped so the "Northern Pacific" script has to be squeezed-in so as not to over-lap, which is as obvious a bald-headed man with a bad hair-piece. The closest version I could find to an NP tender was the UP coal version that comes with the Big Boy or Challenger, or both; I've been testing so much I can't remember which. But, as you may already know, the UP tender pretty much crunches it's way into the cab of the E1 Northern due to the pre-set drawbar gap. I even re-did the decal on the UP 844 tender, but it's not the right width and it's still for an oil-burner. So the only tender I have that even comes close, is the Berkshire version. It's not quite tall enough, but I don't think it's so short that it looks awkward; it hauls coal, it's big, has six axles, couples to the E1, and I can fit the NP script on it with no issues.

But anyway, I'll cease work on this for now until I get some clarification about "your project". At least we all got a new caboose out of it eh? !!howdy!!

I never finished it because that was three years ago when I made it. I just got busy with other stuff that I've been working on and school, college and now I work for the MRL so I have little time to do anything myself anymore.

Quite welcome! All of your repaints are fantastic and although only a small bit is seen, this proves no exception.
