An old dog for what I have seen in "antique" threads, but with a very interesting start up sequencing. I have found posts from 2013.
I will get it in the sale. I really want your repaint. *!lol!*

EDIT:
I found this quote in the Wikipedia page for the GP20:
The very first GP20 built, Western Pacific Railroad 2001, is preserved at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum at Portola, CA.
WP acquired 10. Fuel for the Keddie route.

I wouldn't call the GP20 an 'old dog'; it has some very cool features that haven't been done on any other north American DLC. The locos can overheat if you have it in Run-8 for too long uphill, also the cab windows fog up if you don't have the defroster on.

Unfortunately the GP20s that WP owned were equipped with a high short hood.

Probably a wrongly used English expression from my side. **!!bang!!** I wanted to mean that it is an old DLC.
And I already had the first encounter with those control panels. After writing my previous message I went and bought the GP20 (and the GP-30).
It is really a great loco DLC, though not that I am extremely excited, because of my preference for modern freight diesels and for steam locos.
Next step downloading Buzz´repaint. !!*ok*!!

What do you mean? The other railroad GP20s like the UP and WP (considering oncoming Feather Canyon) were of different shape?

Ok! I ran into problems with the installation of the PREX GP20. !DUH!
Yesterday I bought the SP GP20 by Reppo via DTG.
However the PREX GP20 has instructions mentioning the requirement of the GP20BN DLC and to install in GP20BN folder, instead of Reppo Gp20PackSP
There are two repaints in the DTG Marketplace, one is the UP mentioned above and the other is Burlington (BN).

1) Do I require to get that BN repaint from the Marketplace to install the PREX?
2) Or there is a DLC Burlington version sold elsewhere by Reppo?

The whole thing is based off of the BN unit. The only way you could make it work is to take all of the files and re-name them to the SP and then go into the bin file and re-name all of the places where it says BN to SP or SPRR or whatever he used. Probably a lot easier to spring for the BN unit.

I could do what you mention. However once you confirm the BN repaint is required, I much prefer to get the BN (and probably the UP) from the Marketplace. I wonder if historically this low hood was in fact used by BN.

I have played a while yesterday with the SP and I am really in love with that loco.

I found this picture of a GP20 high hood from Forth Smith Railroad of the Pioneer Railcorp group:

I was wrong. That was the back part.
Actually this loco is the very same of the DLC:
