UP (not CSX) SD70AH

Unread postby PapaXpress » Wed Mar 19, 2014 11:24 am

Just read this blog post:
http://swrails.com/2014/03/19/he-aint-m ... hes-heavy/

I don't have much free time these days so I won't be trying this out myself, but the way I see it, to make an UP SD70AH all one would need to is increase the tonnage and the traction effort at rail (slightly) in the simulation BP.

I think that's right... they're just heavier and have different software. I was told there is no apparent difference in appearance. I have pics of the CSX AH pusher in Ronceverte if anyone wants to look it over for differences. I probably wouldn't see any difference since I don't have the expertise that many of you have with those details.

You are looking for the simulation BIN file.

Who ever told you was wrong.

The SD70ACe on the up has the High mounted headlight where as the SD70AH has the center mounted headlight. Just pointing that out !!*ok*!!

And you know that some SD70ACe's had center mounted headlights, because the roads wanted them that way?

There literally isn't a visual difference between the ACe and AH aside from the little decal saying so and the blue card for the locomotive in the cab.
