GE Genesis problem

Hi. I just got the GE Genesis DLC yesterday and it isn't working as I expected it to.
First, there are just scenarios for the DLC, no free roam. I later made a free roam for the loco, but something else happened.
After a while, I'd get to 80 MPH (the limit for both primary and secondary are 125MPH), then it's start beeping. I'd slow down, but then the E-Brakes apply. I try going, and E-Brakes go off again at 20MPH. This kept going on forever. Is there a way to turn off the automatic brakes? Or what am I missing in my track making? Please help. I was really looking forward to driving this miles and miles on my long route.

I MAY have figured it out. In most locomotives, there's this button on the HUD that has a big "!" in it. It turns black and yellow if something's wrong. Clicking it cancels the warning. Not doing so applies the e-brake. The creator should remember to put it into the HUD.

It is the alerter you are talking about and you can press the q key to reset it when it goes off as well. If you want to disable it you can go to G-TraX website and on the left side go to the link for hacks and quick fixes for instructions on how to do it
