I think what you might be seeing is the ends of the water tile. The water is a 2d model; it can be sized in the x or y axis, and moved in the z axis (up or down). Each tile of water can only be so large - and a new one will have to be positioned next to it to continue the 'river'. It can be kinda ugly at the transition point sometimes, unfortunately there isnt a whole lot that can be done to fix this, other than using a loft type river.

Thanks for the reply Montana.

I tried water quality at max but that did not help. The loft rivers is probably something that only builders understand :D

I think this is only a problem with reflective water as it only generates reflection for one water tile at a time. Non-reflective water doesn't do this so bad.

Actually, this happens when two water or more water tiles are not the exact same height. If I see something like this, I delete the water, place down a water tile, lock the position in the right fly-out window, copy it, and paste it (watch out because pressing paste will cause a water tile to be placed directly under wherever the paste icon is on the world surface), which will make its height exactly the same as the last. This can cause some issues however, as rivers flow downwards, the height of the water slowly decreases, so height change is definite.
They exist everywhere. You may not see them, but they're there. Awww yeeeaaaahhhh, 20% Cooler! /)
