1 square of terrain a mile above ground level

Hi Guys, I thought I saw something on this elsewhere but couldn't find it.

I created a new route based on the castle rock scenario, and all is good except there is one square of terrain 1 mile or so above the rest. It is right to the south of my icon.

Any way to deal with this? !*hp*!

Any and all help appreciated.

Rick

Terrain or decal? In RW2 I have had decal float a thousand feet up only to return back to earth when I clear the cache.

Terrain, not a decal, like a block. Sheer sides, square, and 704 meters high. I was able to "Level" the block with the level tool, but I also recreated the same route to see if I could duplicate the error, and this time it was fine. I used the same coordinates, same castle rock base etc. Not sure what to make of it.

If I knew how to post screen shots I would do so. (Idiot's emphasis)

If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Thanks,
Rick

Most folks use an image hosting site like Photobucket or others (I won't mention any more names because I don't like the others *!!wink!!* ).
If that doesn't work for you, just convert your screenshot to jpg format and attach it to a post by click on the tab that says 'Upload Attachment'.
From there it should be fairly self-explanatory.

I suppose I should copy this post from my other forum over to here. Anyway, until I do, check out this link.

Ok. So I have ran into this as well. The only way I was able to fix it was by running ReDem agian and copying over the offending tile.

I didn't use ReDem to start with, just started with flat terrain at the correct latitude and longitude for Denver. Interesting, the "Cube" that was raised had topography on top-don't know where it got that information though.......Ghosts in the program maybe....

Thanks,

Rick

Interesting. It has to be grabbing that tile from somewhere. If your terrain is completely flat then you can level it by hand using the elevation tool
