Don't go wobbly on me, George.

I have engines that are occasionally going wobbly on me. I'll start a scenario on my Cimarron & Pacific route (tight curves in yards and mainlines) and my engine tilts wildly through a curve, even at 1 or 2 mph. I then save, exit, resume, and the engine stays on the track perfectly through the same curves.

Anyone know the reason why this happens sometimes, and if there is a way to avoid it? I can't relay all the track, especially in the yards, and I don't even think the tightness of the curves is the problem, else it would always happen.

I dont know. I have the same problem but only with G-Trax steamers. None of them will go through a turn out on the NERW. And when you first get in to the cab they jump in the air like a bucking bronco. I can run the CVhallenger, the Consoladation and the Big Boy with no problems. And like you I am not going to relay the tracks.

I'm kind of glad that you confirm it's probably not our track. Probably something fixable with the engines, but that is way above my pay grade, so I guess i'll just give players a headsup on the problem when I release scenarios.

thanks

May I ask is it ATI or Nvidia graphics you are using - I get the wobble and I heard somewhere along the line that ati cards have a wobble going on in some places

Sometimes I have the same problem when selecting a train that is in the tight curve of Durango Yard's loop.

Maybe it's only imagination, but to me it seems to only occur when selcting the train from a "far-away" camera postion. !*don-know!*

Running Nvidia GTX 470. Took NE Northern thru straight mainline switch (very minor wobble), then into MM yard and onto Steam Service track with speed starting @ 10mph up to 20mph. Bounce, wobble, rock & roll through all switches in all cameras, but no derail.

Had several SBHH while trying to load Northern and Berkshire, but was done after several restarts. Am loading into clone of Freeroam scenario that refuses to load from original **!!bang!!** . Clone is fine.

On the bright side, your 3-pack of SW1200's cured a problem with HC that wouldn't make the trip from Editor to Game. !*salute*!

Thanks for the great route to you and your contributors, Bob. I expect many hours of enjoyment running it.
