brakes not working

brakes not working

Hi All
More problems!In some of the scenario activities ,the brakes icon is grayed out and inoperative,I have run steam integrity check,RW Cache check ,and unplugged the Raildriver unit,no brakes ,I obviously haven't tried all activities but I know that some do and some don't work??
Help!

I don't have a RailDriver, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
But is this with all locos or just some locos? And are you using Expert Controls or Simple?

Anyways, there are some locos, that regardless of Controls options selected, that they use a combined-throttle-&-brake lever (above the middle-line is throttle, below the middle-line is brake), so in this case there is no separate brake-lever and the brake is grayed-out.

Glad to be of help. I guess it's part of my nature to "rescue" Old Timers and other people in need. *!!wink!!*
Now get back to driving some trains.

bit late witha response to this, but just to add for future reference


Most modern models are single handle controls (class 170, class 380 etc ) they have combined throttle and brake. older models ( 158 and ALL hst's) use the seperate controls, one for breaks , one for throttle.

Then you get the 111 or 101 (forget which) that has gears aswell to add to the mix, . It's all fun in RW land. Being gone from it for so long I forgot how testy these ones with gears where **!!bang!!**
My scenarios are short, but they leave plenty of room for scope. Time to stretch to other routes I think
