Game Unavailable at this Time?

Railworks3 was working pretty good the last couple of days. Tonight I tried it and got a Steam message "Game unavailable at this time - try again later." I also tried it offline and received the same message.

Is this something to do with the update. I'm really not a fan of Steam for this reason, since I don't have an Internet connect I can use all the time.

So am I the only one getting this message? I'm new to all this, if you can't tell. Is this a normal error? Is there anything I can try or a place to look on the Internet to see what's going on?

My Steam console shows Train Simulator 2012 as "ready to play".

Try a different Download Region.
Fire up Steam ( not RailWorks) and from the Steam dropdown menu, select Settings, then the Downloads+Cloud tab. Try a different region from the Download region dropdown list.

I got that message once last night; a few minutes later I had no problem. I guess Steam gets overloaded sometimes.

Okay, I figured it out through the Steam forum. I saw this is quite common -- not the exact message wording, but game errors in general, and there's an easy fix. You go to the Steam console where your game(s) is displayed and right click the game that is getting the error. Then select "properties". Next select the "Local Files" tab and click on the menu item "Verify Integrity of Game Cache".

My girlfriend is normally of a rather sunny temperament. Recently however she has been getting more and more grumpy and bitchy. It is getting worse and worse. Should I reinstall?

Go to the Steam console where your girlfriend(s) is displayed and right click the girlfriend that is getting the error. Then select "properties". Next select the "Local Files" tab and click on the menu item "Verify Integrity of Girlfriend Cache". She should be back to her normal smiling and obedient self.
