New Installatiion and Start

First, thanks for any replies.

Train Simulator 2012 was automatically downloaded and installed. On initial launch the normal screen loaded, but did not have railworks in the lower right hand corner to start the game. I followed the troubleshooting instructions to check cache integrity and it indicated two files are missing. It did not give me the file names of those missing.

Any guidance on what I should to next would be appreciated?

OK, there should only be a Steam icon in the lower right of the Task Bar. There should be a Railworks icon on your desktop. If there isn't a desktop icon for RW, then click on the Steam icon in the Tool Bar, choose Libraries. Right click on RW and choose to "Create a desktop Icon" now all you have to do is double left click on the desktop icon.

Sorry, if I was not clear. When I launch the game and the splash screen loads, there is supposed to be in the bottom right hand corner of the splash screen the word "RAILWORKS" that, when clicked, will start the actual game. Well, I do not have this on the splash screen. So, wanted to know how to correct this and if there is another way to start the game? Please see screen shot.

What happens if you reduce this app to a normal window?

Click on Steam and go to Library. Right click on TS2012 and choose Play.

Just curious about this.... if it's still like this, did you try just clicking in that spot anyway? (sounds like a silly question, I know, lol) The reason I ask is that I can't see my Alerter Reset button in the HUD in the Genesis or Amtrak locos, but if I click in that spot it works anyway.
