route origin

Unread postby plovdiv21 » Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:46 pm

I have some nice Romainian routes from railstudio They work fine except it will only start scenarios I make at route origin. The route locations like stations are shown in scenario editor, but if I chose any of them the editor starts with an empty green texture earth with no scenery.-the editor works normally for all other routes.Tried moving the scenario marker from origin further up the line but it reverts to the origin.I'm wondering if some location markers are missing in the route or something????

Using the editor (Build), you basically have to start up at origin of your route and navigate using the tools in the center above of editor. Once you are in a new place, create a scenario marker and start building your scenario.
Another way is creating markers at different places and saving them in the route assets folder.

Somewhere there may or may not be a set of route markers. Go into the world editor and click on the location sign and see if there are any markers for that route. If you need more guidence let me know. Often these are forgotten when people are uploading routes.

so from what you guys told me and from banging my head against the wall a few times i understand the concept now-and I wrote a little step by step so I remember:

find lat & long coordinates you want to start at in route editor

open scenario editor

navegate to that location using compass at top center of screen by typing in the coordinates

click on teleport triangle on right-should take you there

place a freeroam or standard scenario marker(click to get dropdown for the one you want)

make sure it has a scenario name in it's dialouge box

then make your scenario

this may help others if they search the topic --Thanks again for the help.
