De-rail thanks to AI Collision

Unread postby Cardinal51 » Tue Jul 18, 2023 9:55 am

Was just minding my own buiness. QuickDrive Tehachapi Pass.

Then suddenly a pop-up . . bla bla Derail due to AI Colission bla bla. I have no idea with what I collided with. Did not see amything, unless there was a big boulder under the pop-up.

What does this mean? Part of the game ? a bug ? intended surprise ?

In the "bla bla" section are coordinates, paste them into the world editor, and see what's happening at the point that's causing an issue with an AI train.

Thanks Pkz

I pressed ESC and entered the editor a few seconds before de-railment. I can not find anything blocking the track or damaged tracks ahead of me at all :-(

Also check the back of the train. did not see anything unusual.

The second coordinates take me here . . . . .

I think it is those two trains colliding. So will try to delete one of them. No idea how though, any pointers / suggestions ?

Open the scenario with the editor find and delete the AI train, save and close. If the scenario does not allow editing it can be done with TS_Tools or LocoSwap. There may be other ways to do this, others may offer a different solution.

I have seen this when the player train is running late or early in career scenarios.
