This question was posted in the Steam forum. Has any one had a throttle issue with the VRC U30C throttle not working in 64bit?
"Now, everytime I place the selector in RUN, the throttle will not move (neither by the A key or manually by cursor "hand"

I think it may depend on the version you are using.
My WP is working as expected. Have bought it at TaD.
I have the Chessie from steam, too.
Could you please post a link to the discussion on steam ?

I posted a fix for this a while back. I hope this still works.

Well, there is a fix for this issue. Just follow these steps:

1. On the Railworks America homepage, click on "File Library" and then "Models" and then do a search in the upper right corner for ( RW&A GP40 and GP30 slug unit ). Or try following this link; ( http://www.railworksamerica.com/index.p ... ide-addons ).

2. Download and install the ( RW&A GP40 and GP30 slug unit ). It will install into VRC/RWA-GP40-01.

3. Now, go into the following folder, "VRC/RWA-GP40-01/LuaLibrary", and copy the file "CommonLib-1.1.out".

4. Paste this file into your "VRC/U30C-Series_01/LuaLibrary" folder and when asked to overwrite, say yes. ( Please backup the original file first, just in case!!! )

5. Make sure to delete the file, "Blueprints.pak" in both your "VRC/U30C-Series_01" folder and the "VRC/RWA-GP40-01" folder, if there is one there. ( Don't worry, the game will make a new one once you start the game. )

6. That's it! You should now be able to run the U30C in 64 bit mode with no problems now.

Tried this, while the power handle is restored, the dynamics don't work (and the amp gauge is not zeroed.)

Best to play it in its original state using 32 bit.

I have the Chessie in the steam version and in the non-steam version.
The non-steam version works perfectly, the steam version has this issue with the regulator.
The only script, which is really differing is this CommonLib-1.1.out file, but it calls ElectricalSubSystem.lib with a fixed path.
Yesterday I have driven the steam-version with my mod. So far no issues any more, but I have to check the dynamic brake again as of your hints.

Do the dynamic brake work?

No issues at all !

The zip patching U30C Chessie from steam:

U30C-Series_01_script-install.zip

Read the included README.txt first !

Don't forget to use
- CTRL+X for the selector before using the regulator (A/D)
and
- Shift+X for the selector before using the dynamic brake (,/:)

Thank you for figuring this out and posting the fix! I knew my old fix didn't resolve everything, but since I did not have the non-steam version of this locomotive, it was the best I could do since I was not going to run the game in 32bit just for one engine.
