I have been using Audio Shacks sound pack for the P42 for a while, and on my old computer, I had no problem hearing the horn and bell in the cab view. Though now, in my current computer, the horn is not as audible and I can't hear the bell at all. I am not sure if this is a Windows 11 issue, or that I am using the sound chip on the motherboard (Realtek). Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it somehow?

I have tried that pack, but my problem is that it doesn't effect the default loco.

I just installed the trurailsimuations ep, but I am getting a popping sound in the cabview.

Have you installed it to a fresh original package ?

I just installed it again, in a fresh package, and am still getting that popping sound. I did come across another person in the trainsim.com forum report the same issue, but no one responded to it. I have the up to date drivers so that isn't the problem.

Speakers, I don't have headphones.

I got a creative sound card and can now hear the horn and bell in the Cab. I didn't buy the card for that reason of course, I just don't like the sound of Realtek. I tried the trurali mod for the P42 and was still getting that occasional popping sound, I wish I knew what was causing it. It can't be the speakers, since it doesn't occur on other games or sims.

It shouldn't be your speakers. I use newer headphones which work flawlessly and the TRS P42 makes popping sounds in the cab. It's just a loop that pops occasionally.

What about other locos and soundpackages ? Do they work correctly ?
