Workshop woes.

Unread postby AmericanSteam » Fri Feb 18, 2022 9:47 pm

I downloaded a few workshop scenarios for Marias pass using the BNSF ES44DCs (these I have). I go to run the scenarios and it says that I need to purchase the route. I own the route. It loads the rolling stock but shows all the locos as missing. F2 doesn't help. Any suggestions?
I figured it out. Borked sound mod files rendered the loco as non existent. Removed the mods now normal, something to think about when things go missing.

Are you sure these sceanrios use the ES44DC you have ( HiLine or StevensPass for example) ?
What I cannot understand: You try to use a scenario for a route you don't own ?
Could you precise "mods" ?

I own Marias Pass and the included BNSF ES44DC that is in the asset folder. I downloaded and installed a horn and bell modification from RWA. After I added the sound modifications none of the ES44Dcs showed up but the all the rolling stock did. My solution, I transferred only the BNSF ES44DC files from a backup and cleared the cache, restarted the route and the locos were in place. I love backups.

Oh yes, sound modifications may sometimes make locos and wagons invisible.
"sometimes": Most common reason are soundfiles which are not found.
In this case, you could also have looked in the blueprints (serz the *.bin) to see which horn is loaded and then searched for the horn.
