Fuel point problems.

I have purchased and downloaded several routes to include G-TraX's Durango and Silverton and both the Cheyenne 1869 extensions from from Railworks America. On the listed routes and others I find that can not add fuel points or any other object which requires the track anchors, (I don't know the actual name}, which allows the object to function in the route. Such objects include water tanks, coal loading facilities, mile posts and speed signs to list a few. It appears that the developer has changed something which does not allow placement. Is it possible to change whatever is require to add the listed type of objects? if so, how? Thanks, Sparkie101a

Hi ,
I don't have those routes so I can only give you a couple of general pointers.
Have you unlocked the route for editing? Check the padlock symbol in the editor.
Are you editing the route in World editor? I don't think fuel points can be added at scenario level.
Does the route already have any fuel or water points points? Look at the 2d map of the route in the editor for the symbol.
It wouldn't make much sense for a developer to disable these objects.

Thanks for your Suggestions

I have tried the padlock both locked and unlocked.
I work on clones of the original routes, and have tested the original route too. The fuel points can not be added in either.
Also tried in both the world Editor and scenario editors.
The routes have fuel points, mile posts and speed signs etc, installed, but if you accidentally remove one it can not be replaced.
If I import fuel points from another route, they will not work.
I agree that it does not make sense for the developer to disable these items, but I don't have enough knowledge of the development side to even start looking

Are you writing the fuel points into a scenario? An instruction is necessary or the fuel point is inactive and it has to be written into every scenario in which you want it.
Having said that I have still found that sometimes it just doesn’t work whatever you do!

These are all narrow gauge lines I think. If the track is unique to GTrax maybe it does behave differently. Try asking here.
