After installing the Visuals C++ 2015 I was met with a different error at the same point on startup but this was an out of memory error which I have no clue why. I uninstalled C++ completely and started railworks and was back to square one with a crash on startup due to VCRUNTIME140.dll not being found.
I have just now reinstalled C++ and am right back to getting the out of memory. It now seems to me I am getting nowhere. any ideas on what in the world is going on here?
I have done some quick research and have tried a few things to resolve this issue myself. these solutions are as follows:
verifying game cache (I don't know why as this seems somewhat of a Microsoft issue)
completely (and painstakingly due to LOADS of 3rd party DLC I had to isolate) reinstall the game from scratch
manually repairing Microsoft visuals C++ 2015 X64 and X86
manually installing Microsoft visuals C++ 2015 X64 and X86
any ideas are appreciated as DTG seem to be overloaded with support tickets as I have not gotten a response back.

P.S. if this is in the wrong place let me know and I will move this to the appropriate place.
