i Bought the download a while back. I was able to use the switchers for a week give or take.
Then one day I tried to run them and all I could do is move forward. No reverse at all. I deleted the engines , replaced them, same thing.
I deleted the game, reinstalled ,still only one direction. I removed the folder using the package manager and the game reinstalled it. again it will only move the engines forward. tried end to end a few together, no luck at all .. well i did try.
Any ideals ?

Do you Run in simple control mode?
I think this is a bug of simple control mode.
Try to change your controls to expert.

Glad it works now and yes, it's an odd bug.
I recommend you stay with expert control mode. It's much more realistic.
I used to drive in simple mode until last year, then changed and I cannot imagine to run in simple anymore.

What you want to turn the motor off for, you got work to do, silly! Now get busy!

"Z" key no workie? All my locomotives seem to start up by themselves when I select to drive them.

yes the "Z" key does work but the in cab button dosen't start the loco up, all it does is push in and pull out

Not surprising. Seems like, even tho all the levers and switches in the cab should work (yeah, wishful thinking) most of them don't. I don't drive in the cab anyways, unless I'm forced to in a tunnel, so I just use the keyboard.
