Almost invisible passengers on platforms

Unread postby jlms48 » Sun Nov 01, 2020 8:52 am

Hi,
Nothing to do with Halloween but I have noticed ghostly figures on the platforms in a couple of scenarios in different routes.
When the carriage doors open I see a walking passenger figure for a fraction of a second only. Otherwise they are invisible except I can see some shadows of the figures marching up and down the platform.
Any ideas what could be causing this weird effect?
Thanks,
John

Depends on which platforms.
If they are in a route you are building, you may have used the asset improperly.
If they are in DLC routes, some asset file are probably damaged and you should perform a local files verification. in the Steam client.

Thanks Chacal.
I have only noticed this in the last couple of scenarios I played.
One was in the Penn Steam (BLE) route and the other in a freeware UK route, so not DLC.
I'll see whether any more routes/scenarios show the same behaviour over the next couple of weeks.

It turns out the problem was self-inflicted. I use a 3rd party package called RW Enhancer and there is performance option within it not to render animated objects which was ticked *!rolleyes!* .
I mention it here in the unlikely event that anyone else makes the same mistake.
