The Green Tick Marks, indicating "completed scenario", are gone

Unread postby Cardinal51 » Wed Jul 22, 2020 12:55 pm

Hi All,

I do not track the points I get for completing a scenario (think I never get points anyway) but do track what scenarios have the Green Tick Mark.

But the other day I noticed the tick marks are gone ? Only a few recently completed scenarios still have the Green Tick Mark. *!sad!*

What could have caused this ? Is there a setting I should tweak ? Is it caused by an Steam update ?

I did not re-install or delete anything.

As you are having problems with scenarios like in your other post perhaps a verify of game files is in order.

With Gremlins it should be easy. I seem to remember that water kills them

Water kills your computer as well!!! Not sure about feeding your computer after midnight though, never tried it.

Did that solve your problem?
If not, do you have a backup of your TS installation, more specifically a backup of the "Content" folder?

Stars in “Career” and Ticks in “Standard”.

Hi,

Could the Scenario/Career progress, like the tick marks and stars, be stored in one of the profile or cache .bin files in the Content folder? Maybe it got overwritten or deleted by accident. The Steam Verify wouldn't help in that case.

Cheers,
Michael

Nope, green thingies are still gone. Did not make any backup of TS2020.

Guess it is time for a fresh start and do the regular backup.

So for a backup of my accomplishments / saved scenarios / green tickmarks it is enough to back up of the directory "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content" ?

Actually you only need to backup one file named SDBCache.bin in the Content folder.
This is the scenario database.

Pity you don't have a backup, I have an utility for correcting the ticks marks from a backup.
