Terrain Flattened

Unread postby TFOLRailfan » Sun May 24, 2020 4:40 pm

I went to edit a custom personal route I've been working over 1 year, and when I came in to the editor, I noticed a huge chunk was flatten. I have no idea how this happened. This has happened before but after I quit and reload the route its fixed. This time its permanent. Is there a reason why this happened? What can I do to prevent this from happening again?

In the editor, fly around the edge of the 'flattened' square. Confirm that it is indeed a single grid tile in game. From the pics you've posted it sure looks like it. If you have a backup of the route, you can replace that specific tile with the backup from your route's Scenery and Terrain folders.

I noticed this exact effect recently when running a test route that I had made years ago. I have no idea why a route tile in a user made route would suddenly get glitchy, or get corrupted like this !*don-know!*

Yeah they are 4 tiles. I did back up the route a few months ago to a USB drive. Don't quite remember if I have touched the terrain since then. I will replace them with the backed up files. *!!thnx!!*
