Hello everyone,
Hope everything is fine. I use blender 2.82 for the 3D design, but I have a small problem, in object mode my object doesn't have any texture and in texture paint mode, no problems, so it's make problem to copy/paste on blender 2.79 to use Briage as export plug-in. So I don't know what to do, or maybe if they are some alternatives such as 3dcrafter or others more, but I stay on Blender for design
Thanks a lot for your help

Try export model as .fbx from 2.82 and then import the same in 2.79b

What I do is make the object I'm 2.8 and copy and paste to 2.79 and unwrap there. Plus, if you bake textures using Ambient Occlusion or the other ways, it's much easy to do it there. From what I've heard in 2.8, baking textures now use nodes which is something I don't have much knowledge of.

I keep both 2.79 and 2.82 installs on my computer. 2.79 is used only for TS20xx models, 2.82 is used for everything else. It may just be easier to use 2.79 from the start of the model if you have plans to export to Train Simulator.

Hello Guys,
Thanks a lot for your reply, and your help, I will try it when I have time, I found online some others process too, and I will test it, if DTG can do a plugin for Blender could be the best, because their plugin in 3DSmax is good too. 3Dcrafter no bad too, but a little complex :( and not stable too :(
I just saw the last Briage was more updated for 2.79 so hope next version could be for blender 2.8 ;)
Wait and see

A few years ago, I would say there isn't a chance of DTG providing a Blender plugin. But from what I've been reading online, Blender is starting to make its way into production studios with the expanded functionality, updated user interface, and a price point (free) that runs circles around 3DMax. So who knows... if DTG starts to adopt Blender as a modeling tool, maybe that plugin will happen.

BRIAGE 2.82 has been released. However, this version will not work with the newly released Blender 2.83. Hopefully it will be updated soon.

Interesting. I've tried several projects that export fine from 2.82. But all fail on export from 2.83. I'm not changing anything in the projects.

For what it's worth, BRIAGE 2.83 also works with the latest exprimental version of Blender, 2.90a. Also, the .blend files are interchangeable between 2.90a and 2.83. I made a simple cube test in 2.90a and exported it to TS. I was able to open the .blend file in 2.83 and export it to TS without any changes. As the Blender site says, it's probably not a good idea to use 2.90a for projects that you want to keep, but it's fun to experiment with. Plus, it will become a stable release at some point.
