Wrong locomotive soounds

Unread postby mapitts » Wed May 11, 2011 5:04 pm

I downloaded the Ohio Steel route and it came with the bonus NS SD40-2 HH. When I load many of the scenerios, instead of EMD sounds, I am getting the GE EVO sound pack I loaded. The thing is that it is not in all of the scenerios. What is up with that? I have cleared my blueprint cache and it does not help. I am not very computer literate, so please be easy. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, I've figured out what you are saying. This was an unknown problem until today. Thanks for putting that out there. This problem is on my behalf. I never caught this problem, because I was just testing the ES44AC at the time. This has to do with the realistic sound fading and it's nature. The problem was that the interior sound of the GEVO Sounds would carry on to other cabs, as the interior doesn't have the sound fading. I have fixed this problem, and will be included in v2.0. Yes another update.

Thanks!! I don't know what I am going to do when you come out with your update. I do not know much at all about this kind of stuff, and I mean not much at all. I have a friend who helps me and he is getting tired of of helping I think. I cannot do even simple things like change my horn. I read the posts and instructions, but it is all Japanese to me! I also would like to take the time and tell you how much I have enjoyed your EVO sound pack. I think it is super!

Thanks for the compliments! I know that for some people it is hard to install sounds, so that is why it is packaged in the "Assets" folder. Simply go to your Railworks installation location (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Railworks or C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Railworks 2 folder) and drag and drop into the main screen, without dragging it onto an icon, and overwrite (ie. just drag on to the white background or to the top bar above the window), and there you go. If you still don't understand, it's alright. Maybe your friend will help you one more time. *!!wink!!*

I also have a problem with the some of the scenerios with the ES44's. They jump straight to WOT as soon as the sounds load for the cab. Will this correct that as well? Some of them do just as they should for some reason or another.
